JENNY HVAL - FRAGMENTE TE MEMORIES TE TRANSKRIPTUARA SHTREMBER [INNOCENCE IS KINKY, 2013]

The voice is a second flesh that cannot be seen.
This body is not the vision.
    The seer cannot go there.

    Liria.

    Femerore.
Pershkruar si nje personalitet i forte (i papajtueshem me klishet e artit sot!) dhe e dhene per multidisiplina (audio-artist), Jenny Hval shpreh nje sensualitet te semure (“Hello? Excuse me? / I think you left something at my house... / Oh yes... My virginity. / Bring. It. Back”) me nje medyshje mes kenges e recitimit, ku kitaret elektrike sherbejne si paralele zbutese.

The character knows more about his situation than we do, leaving it up to us to try to understand him, which is why the story is so effective and thought provoking...

ANDREA GJESTVANG - EVERYBODY KNOWS THIS IS NOWHERE

"This project explores the restless lives of adolescents growing up in Finnmark, the northernmost part of Norway. To a large extent Norway’s increasing wealth is due to fish, oil and minerals from this part of the country; yet several small communities are left as nowhere lands were local prospects may be limited. Privatization of the fishing industry in the 70’s made unemployment, the abandonment of fish factories and depopulation a part of reality..."

BUZZ ALDRIN, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU IN ALL THE CONFUSION - A NOVEL

Johan Harstad’s debut novel tells the story of Mattias, a thirty-something gardener living in Norway, whose idol is Buzz Aldrin, the second man on the moon.
Using the lunar-like landscape of the Faroe Islands as a backdrop, the novel deals with the characters’ attempts at finding a balance between being second best (and anonymous) without going into total isolation...
