BODIES OF WATER - LULESHTRYDHE FREAK

Zeri si instrument perben rregullin e arte (‘Water Here’).
Bujaria e marreveshjeve orkestrale fton per melodi klasike, te mira per veshin. Edhe pse me plot variacione nervore, mirepret intimitetin me naiv.

Me siguri edhe nje indie-ungjill per muzikante qe nuk duan te perfundojne neper kopertina shume-ngjyreshe cdo fundmuaji.
    Te nenvleresuar!

    SINCERE MELODRAMA OF MUSICAL THEATRE
For only four people, they create a choir of voices ('Under The Pines'), filling the small venue with waves of beautiful sound. Their songs are long and meandering, switching time signatures several times before ending, but it never gets tedious; instead, you feel like you're accompanying them on a journey that no one has mapped out yet, but is bound to be filled with serendipity and wonder.

GASTR DEL SOL / TONY CONRAD - THE JAPANESE ROOM AT LA PAGODE

    I had a dream
    that I shared a space
    with every living thing.

Huge and waiting in the even light,
there stood a wall covered with windows and doors
variously labeled with animal spoors and marked with names.

As soon as I focused it clearly,
each ancient door mysteriously became open,
and a sound current flowed out all over the infinite plain.

Other doors opened from time to time,
    reverberating the sound everywhere,
    but differently.

And then suddenly there was nothing alive,
    but nothing had changed,
and when I had returned, the sound was still there.

THE FRENCH TOUCH CONNECTION [MICROSILLON, 2013]

The French Touch Connection is back with Microsillon.
This album is inspired by old French music titles but not only. This is a tribute to old vinyls, France and worldwide.
This is a real connection between all the artists and people listening to us around the world.
Each brings its knowledge and culture for a single project.
    Again, many nationalties are represented.
The artists of Argentina, Greece, England, Canada, France, Germany, United States, Belgium and Switzerland came to connect each other. All with a different style, so we can find the atmosphere of old dusty vinyl, forgotten in our cellars.

    YOU KNOW, WITHOUT ASKING ANYONE

Right about now you might be thinking, “Hey, the trusty afternoon tabloid I pick up on my way home has… kind of entirely changed its editorial bent?!?”
Where’s the news, the politics, the heated civic debates, and the crime blotter?

What about the details of our honorable mayor’s latest plan to stock fewer cigarettes in bodegas, improve our diets, and generally live more socially responsible and healthier lives?
(You know, without asking anyone if we want to or not.)

    WARD ROBERTS - BILLIONS [FOTOGRAFI]

Images within this series represent a fast-forming reality, predicted to be the dystopian future not so long ago. But the present is never perceived as the future we envisaged in the past. We move along the arrrow of time as stationary observers, watching the world transform before our very eyes, yet rarely aware of our transition into ‘the future’.

I want a house, and a car, and a robot wife
I want 2 kids, and the yard, and the perfect life

I want a house, and a car, and a robot wife
I want 2 kids, and the yard, and the perfect life

I want a job, in a block, that can touch the sky
I want a future so bright, that it burns, my eyes

I want a house, and a car, and a robot wife
I want a house, and a car, and a robot wife,
    I want more

I want a house, and a car, and the perfect life
    I want the future
I want a house, and a car, and a robot wife
    I want to love
    I want a house, and a car.

    BECOME A MEMORY

    PATRIK LINDELL [FOTOGRAFI]

His work is so focused and consistent and I see many similar qualities with designers’ work that I admire.
The compositions are straight-forward, and he has a keen eye for subtle details, pattern, color and structure.
The mood of all Lindell’s work is fantastic, as well. I love that throughout his portfolio, the sky is always the same shade of gray.

PARIS-BASED DUO OPALE AND 'LES CHAMPS MAGNETIQUES' - THROUGH AN INDUSTRIAL, BUT DREAMLIKE WORLD

Made up of Rocio Ortiz and Sophia Hamadi, (who previously released an EP as Playground, with the collaboration of Brian Pyle from Ensemble Economique) Paris-based duo Opale composes synthetic melodies full of glowing coldness.
Their first track, 'Les Champs Magnétiques' (Magnetic Fields), encourages reverie and draws you towards a cold and determined epic through an industrial, but dreamlike world.

    CONSTELLATIONS - GRACE KIM [FOTOGRAFI]

'I piece together fragments of footage shot during my travels and wanderings, as well as some that I source online. The sensibility of the collage interests me because it echoes the process by which memory is constructed, through selective fragments of inclusion/exclusion, intuition and personal projection. The images are created through an organic, intuitive process.'

HOW COME I END UP WHERE I STARTED? HOW COME I END UP WHERE I WENT WRONG? - ['FIFTEEN STEPS', RADIOHEAD]

How come I end up where I started?
How come I end up where I went wrong?

Won't take my eyes off the ball again
You reel me out then you cut the string
How come I end up where I started?
How come I end up where I went wrong?
Won't take my eyes off the ball again
You used to reel me out and then you cut the string
    You used to be alright
    What happened?

Did the cat get your tongue
    Did your string come undone
    One by one
    One by one
    It comes to us all
It's as soft as your pillow
    You used to be alright
    What happened?

    Et cetera, et cetera
    Facts for whatever
    Fifteen steps
    Then a shear drop
How come I end up where I started?
How come I end up where I went wrong?

Won't take my eyes off the ball again
You reel me out then you cut the string

    MJ GALLERY

    I'm white.
    I'm black.
    I'm mixed.
For something to be interesting to me
it has to engage a numbers of issues.
    To me
music and art are the most sensual way
to interpret what is surrounding us.
    Yeah,
    I'm sexy.
    But I am broke.
I can give a lot of love
with a little help from my friend.
    We will do great things
    slam dunks and poetry.
We are going to share moments.
You will hold in your heart for ever.
    Please,
    tell me I'm not alone.

A HAWK AND A HACKSAW [YOU HAVE ALREADY GONE TO THE OTHER WORLD, 2013] - MUSIC INSPIRED BY PARANAJOV'S "SHADOWS OF FORGOTTEN ANCESTORS"

It will always be a pleasure for me remembering the time I met these two beautiful people.
It happened almost two years ago, when the duo came in Italy to perform music from their fifth album Cervantine (2011). And there was a moment, during the end of the show, when they both got down from the stage to play in the middle of a circle, young people had formed dancing sweat and full of joy!
    ...

The performances of their live soundtrack around Europe to the 1964 film Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors by Georgian-born Armenian film director Sergei Parajanov, inspired the duo to take their tribute to the film further away, using traditional Ukrainian music as a trampoline for new variations and themes.
Containing dialogues and parts of the movie, the new album You Have Already Gone to the Other World (2013) is a wild journey, and a shame not to be enjoyed by the masses.

'But my take on folk music is that it's evolving and changing, it is a living thing. As far as our music, we're kind of rootless wanderers, we're affected by all sorts of music, not only Eastern European music, and these things come up in our music so it's very mixed.
We're just musicians who are doing what we love and doing what we feel we should be doing. The authenticity thing is, if you're looking for it, you won't find it with what we're doing. I guess our music is authentically A Hawk And A Hacksaw'. Jeremy Barnes
