E bukura qendron, pervecse ne muziken e ngrohte e free (te improvizuar), edhe ne modelin individual qe Adrian (ose Thanksgiving) na paraqet; duket se eshte nje nga ne. E perditshmja me gjendjet e saj shpirterore te lekundshme, si te ishim hippie te humbur ne nje parkim veturash perballe nje supermerkato gjigante.

Dhe te ruajturit e personalitetit, individit ne standartet e muzikes bashkekohore, dihet, eshte e veshtire sot.
Hap i vogel, por mjaft i rendesishem drejt kesaj eshte te luash muziken qe ndjen, pa druajte e gjykimet e mevonshme. Adrian Orange, ne kete aspekt, na ka mashtruar te gjitheve! Pa perjashtim.
Pasi ndryshku i metalit, dikur te cmuar, ze vend e ky nuk vlen me asgje! Duhet te kishe menduar dicka kohe mepare, apo jo, njeri? Similitude me ndjenjat.
Grizzly Bear jane te medhenj ne kete aspekt. Ushtrojne nje perkujdesje muzikes se tyre, e cila arrin aq thelle ne perfytyrimet rinore saqe krijon njefare besuesshmerie unike.
Megjithate, loja mes drites dhe hijes eshte e vazhdueshme; me momente ndricimi verberues e te tjere ku te ftohtit pa diell erreson syte... Sapo nje perhumbje (e kuptueshme) ben te keputen krahet dhe trupi leshohet ne renje te lire, muzika e tyre te merr per dore.
Magjia e muzikes se Grizly Bear eshte ky alternim; nje lloj ekuilibri mes shprehive melodike dhe karakterit folk ekscentrik te grupit. Madje, kjo verehet pa u sforcuar shume.

'Fuqite e buta' (Soft Powers) rroken ne shenjester! Melodi te embla, shije lounge-bar-i ne ndonje vend jo akoma te mirenjohur, likere pikante neper gota te ngushta, nxehtesi ne trup qe percillet nen ajrin e ftohte te kondicionatorit te ri (mos valle duan te shkojne ne Tropikun e Jugut?), zhurma te lehta (shoegaze?) qe zene me delikatese vend afer kolltukut te kuq (Beck? Ariel Pink?), zera rrefyes frenchy, te cilet nuk presin komente apo nderhyrje (lo-fi), rrjedhje e vazhdueshme e mbremjes (sherben si warm-up?)...
Gjithsesi, lene menjane leshteriket e panevojshem ne breg, ky album te zhyt jo dhe aq shume ne remix-et house, por ne vendet ku luhet kjo muzike (diskotekat ne Jug te Evropes? apartamente nje-ngjyreshe bosh?).
Shto dhe kopertinen cool(jazz/funky?) ketu dhe vepra u krye! Pop i keq.

Sa shpejt ndjehen shijet e preferencat 'fifties' ne kete muzike. E regjistruar me pak buxhet, rezulton ne nje lo-fi psikedelik, me cilesi te dobet (low-fidelity). Idhujt mbeten mbreterit e llojit: Elvis, Cramps, Suicide e duke marre hua zhurmen e Sonic Youth.
Keto rreshta te shpejte pershkruajne karrieren e sapofilluar te Alex Zhang Hungtai, ne art Dirty Beaches. Sound i piset, seksi, per drive-in, ambjetime si ne filmat e David Lynch, gati-gati thithim pluhurat e autostradave perendimore. Kitare te keq-akorduara, echo alla-Suicide te Alan Vega, drita ne muzg, rigjetja e vetvetes, liria... Badlands eshte album i mire, ambicioz. Presim etapa tetjera zhvillimi ne rockabilly-n e Hungtai. Per tani le te mjaftohemi me klipin e 'Sweet 17'.
